About Us

Arklow Rugby Club is a community club located just outside of Arklow Town and competing in both the South East League and the Leinster League.

ARFC is a growing club with a particularly rapidly expanding youth section. We currently have two Senior teams – Men’s and Women’s, Youth teams from under 12 to under 18.5 for both boys and girls, and a healthy Minis section catering for boys and girls from the age of 6.

Arklow has a rich history boasting multiple successes including South East Leagues, Leinster Leagues, and Provincial Towns Cup Wins. We have a history of player progression including multiple Leinster caps and also Shane Byrne – Leinster, Ireland, and the British and Irish Lions.

In recent times we have had plenty of youth players earning representative honours including a current Irish u20s, Leinster 7s, and multiple South East representatives.

As a club we provide ourselves not only on the success on the pitch, but also the community aspect and the relationships made off the pitch. With multiple social events such as “Stictly Scrum Dancing” and “Lip-Sync” as well as social tag, there is always something exciting happening off the pitch that further strengthens our relationship with the local community.

As with any club, Arklow Rugby Club is hugely grateful to the support of local businesses and sponsors who we work with on a consistent basis to maintain the club and allow us to provide the experiences and memories we share with our members.
